It is surprising how there are so many variations of cookie recipes. Yet they can be hard to find in the average cookbook.

First of all you have to try my lemon-lime basil shortbread cookie recipe. The baked Italian biscotti is also becoming more and more of a trend these days. They are lower in fat and calories than most other cookies.  Biscotti are also divine dunkers for creamy cappuccino, hot chocolate or a steaming cup of Chia green tea.
